Services from ArchaeoPhysica
We provide a comprehensive range of survey & data analysis based services relating to the artificial landscape, whether for archaeological, management, agricultural or engineering purposes. Our geophysical capability allows us to create models of the environment beneath our feet while conventional land survey allows standing structures to be mapped in great detail. This range allows us to integrate non-invasive survey techniques to best suit your project while allowing us to operate across disciplines.
The use of modern GIS & CAD software permits a full range of data analysis & visualisation while supporting information transfer at all levels. All work is completed according to a written scheme of investigation (WSI) that is specifically tailored to your requirements. Management of data quality & safety is integral to our work & are fully documented & to recognised industry standards. At the time of writing we are working towards ISO 9000 certification; all geophysical works are in accordance with the principles of the European Association of Geoscientists & Engineers, topographic with those of The Survey Association & heritage studies in accordance with English Heritage & the Institute of Field Archaeologists. Geophysical & land survey are key specialisms & ArchaeoPhysica maintains a staff of qualifed surveyors & geophysicists, essential for accurate & cost-effective work. It is essential that personnel are qualified & knowledgable, whatever discipline they are working for. This is important if the full potential of geophysical survey is to be realised; i.e., the ability to cost-effectively detect & map hidden features over large areas & in great detail while avoiding disturbance of the ground & existing structures.
